Anxiety Treatment

Anxiety is one of the most common mental health concerns – and you are not alone. At River Pines Counseling, we help clients with generalized anxiety, OCD, panic disorder, social anxiety, phobias, and stress-related concerns. Our approach combines evidence-based therapy with practical coping skills that may complement existing medical treatment plans. Clients often seek support for worry, racing thoughts, difficulty sleeping, muscle tension, irritability, and social or relationship strain. Together, we create strategies that bring peace, clarity, and resilience.

Depression Treatment

Depression can affect mood, energy, relationships, and daily life – but with the right support, recovery is possible. We provide comprehensive evaluations and therapy for clients experiencing persistent sadness, fatigue, lack of motivation, low self-esteem, hopelessness, or disinterest in once-enjoyed activities. Our clinicians integrate evidence-based approaches to help clients find relief, build coping strategies, and reconnect with meaning and hope. As appropriate, we recommend medical providers for medication management to facilitate a well-rounded overall treatment plan.

EMDR Therapy

Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing - Trauma and distressing life events can leave lasting emotional and physical effects. EMDR therapy is an evidence-based treatment that helps the brain reprocess “stuck” traumatic memories, reducing their intensity and impact. Using bilateral stimulation, EMDR supports natural healing and has been shown to be effective for trauma, PTSD, anxiety, OCD, and depression. This approach allows clients to safely process painful experiences while moving toward greater resilience and peace.

Loss & Grief Counseling

Grief is a natural response to loss, but it can feel overwhelming and isolating. Our grief counseling provides a compassionate space to process sadness, anger, confusion, or loneliness while exploring new ways to live with loss. We support clients through bereavement, life transitions, and the subtle losses that come with change. With guidance, clients can begin to rediscover hope, peace, and connection in the midst of grief.

“Kate is incredibly kind, helpful, supportive, empathetic, compassionate, honest and knowledgeable - All of the qualities any great mental healthcare provider should be! I feel very fortunate to have found someone like her as my first therapist. During our sessions, I always feel safe and validated, yet gently challenged to make important and beneficial changes. She has been helping me for a little over a year to navigate anxiety and life, as well as learn healthy coping mechanisms and how to better understand my emotions and where they come from. Thanks to her help, I have learned a lot about myself, grown my connection with myself and now have a better understanding and relationship with myself. Thank you Kate for being so amazing!”

Wellness Coaching

Wellness coaching offers a holistic approach to creating balance and fulfillment in life. Clients define their personal wellness priorities, which may include physical and emotional health, career, relationships, spirituality, purpose, or financial wellbeing. Together, we develop an actionable plan to support growth, resilience, and balance. Wellness coaching may be offered as a standalone service or integrated into therapy sessions for a more comprehensive approach.
